The University of Wisconsin-Superior Athletics Department is excited to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Under Armour. The agreement gives Under Armour the exclusive rights to outfit the 17 Yellowjacket varsity sports teams with apparel, footwear, and uniforms.
 
The three-year agreement will go into effect July 1, 2017.
 
"The completion of this agreement is huge for Yellowjacket Athletics because it creates a partnership with a globally-recognized brand that will benefit our department, our student-athletes, and the entire university," said UW-Superior interim athletics director Nick Bursik. "Everywhere you go you see people wearing Under Armour, and we are excited to have that brand become representative of Yellowjacket Athletics and our student-athletes."
 
Per the agreement, Yellowjacket student-athletes will be outfitted in Under Armour game and practice uniforms, training gear, and apparel. UW-Superior coaches and athletics staff will also be outfitted.
 
"Over the next two years we will be phasing all of our programs into Under Armour uniforms and apparel," Bursik said. "We are excited to be able to offer our student-athletes top-of-the-line apparel and partner with such a recognizable carrier."
 
UW-Superior joins the growing Under Armour roster of NCAA partners that includes the likes of UCLA, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Wisconsin as well as the University of Minnesota Duluth locally.
